This Privacy Policy explains how Galadriel Labs ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use PodQueue, our podcast player application and related support services.

Summary

PodQueue is designed to collect only the information needed to provide, maintain, and improve podcast listening features, including privacy controls for data choices and deletion requests.

Information PodQueue May Collect

PodQueue is designed to collect only the information needed to provide, maintain, and improve podcast listening features. Depending on which features you use, PodQueue may collect or store:

  • Account information: identifiers such as email address, user ID, authentication details, profile settings, and account preferences if account-based features are offered or enabled.
  • Podcast subscriptions: podcasts you follow, imported OPML data, feed URLs, show artwork references, and subscription organization preferences.
  • Listening history: episodes played, playback position, completion status, timestamps, speed settings, sleep timer settings, and recently played items.
  • Queue data: episode queues, queue order, inbox decisions, saved queue lists, playback priorities, and related organization metadata.
  • Downloads metadata: downloaded episode identifiers, download status, file size, storage status, and error information. We do not need the contents of downloaded audio files to provide normal app functionality.
  • Saved episodes and app preferences: bookmarks, favorites, archived items, notification preferences, widgets, and other settings you choose in the app.
  • Device and app diagnostics: device model, operating system version, app version, crash logs, performance data, error logs, and basic usage events used to diagnose reliability issues.
  • Support communications: messages you send to us, contact information you provide, screenshots or attachments you choose to include, and related troubleshooting details.

  • Improve app reliability, performance, usability, and compatibility with podcast feeds, Android versions, and device types.

  • Respond to support requests, investigate user-reported issues, and provide account or data assistance when requested.
  • Protect the app, users, and required platform services from abuse, fraud, security incidents, or unauthorized access.

Sharing With Service Providers and Platform Services

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with service providers and required platform services that help us operate PodQueue, such as hosting, authentication, cloud sync, analytics, crash reporting, customer support, email delivery, app distribution, billing, and security providers. These providers may process information only as needed to perform services for us or to comply with their platform obligations.

PodQueue also relies on podcast ecosystem and platform services that may receive information as part of normal app functionality. For example, podcast feeds, media hosting providers, app stores, operating system services, notification services, and payment processors may process data according to their own terms and privacy policies when you access feeds, stream or download episodes, install the app, receive notifications, or make purchases.

Your Choices and Deletion Rights

  • In-app controls: You can manage subscriptions, queues, listening history, downloads, saved episodes, notifications, and app preferences in PodQueue where those controls are available.
  • Local data: You can delete downloads or other locally stored app data through PodQueue or your device settings. Uninstalling the app may remove locally stored data from your device.
  • Account and synced data: If you use account-based or sync features, you may request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of personal information we control.
  • Diagnostics and analytics: You may be able to limit app diagnostics, advertising identifiers, and platform analytics through your device or app store settings.
  • Legal rights: Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of certain personal information. We will honor applicable privacy requests as required by law.

Data Retention

We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide PodQueue, fulfill the purposes described in this policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and enforce agreements. Retention periods may vary based on the type of data, whether it is stored locally or synced, and whether you maintain an account.
